Final Assessment Julius Caesar Essay

For let the gods so speed me as I love the name of honour more than I fear death.

Brutus is an honorable and loyal friend, man and Roman. Brutus always thinks of what is the best for the people not himself. People preys him, they like him as he is. Because the people like him so much and think he is honorable and loyal and etc. Brutus thinks he is better than the general people. He still wants to do good for them but acts as if he were twice as good as them. This makes him a bit arrogant but everyone sees him as a patriot. Brutus was the only conspirator that thought he was really killing Caesar for the general good. Cassius wanted power he wanted him dead because he thought he was stronger than him but Brutus wasn’t like them. Brutus was only thinking of making Rome a better place to stay. That’s why Antony wanted to greet him as a friend not as an enemy because he was the only one with honor left but he was stabbed by a Roman who Brutus was travelling with.

Brutus tells the rest of the conspirators to make the assassination of Caesar clean and beautiful and not like you don’t care about the body. Make it like an honorable ceremony but when they finally kill Caesar they stab him everywhere even though Brutus said make it look like he is a dish fit for the gods this shows that the conspirators absolutely don’t care about Caesar. Brutus as in the honorable man got the last stab and killed him right away instead of letting him suffer. Brutus probably stabbed him in the heart because after Brutus his stab Caesar straight away died just like he said make it quick and clean.
Brutus the honorable man also did these things out of love because he loves every Roman in Rome but after all he didn’t deserve to die because he only meant good and actually only did good.

The lost boys of Sudan 'Santino' (There is no heaven on Earth)

It has been war for 20 years now. Loads of people have died because they gave their life for the greedy leaders of both sides that were fighting for land and power. Then the North attacked, I ran straight away because I was told to by my parents they said to me whenever we'll be attacked just run with friends away to freedom but be careful.
Then that day came it was chaos from far I heard some guns, I was scared but than I decided to run like I was told to. I ran away to freedom on the way many people fell down and you would expect them to stand up again but they didn't. The hardest thing for me was letting go my family I never saw them again.

When the journey finally ended in Kenya everyone danced an cheered. We were helped by the refugee camp in Kenya who gave us food clothes shelter everything you need but that's not all the camp also gave an opportunity. This wasn't just an opportunity this was heaven we were told. First you had to pass an English test if you took the test and got a good result you would have a chance of getting picked to go to the U.S.A. that was what it was all about the refugee camp gave us an opportunity to move to the states this was the as in the place in the world. When I checked the list of the people going I was on there going to Houston. I was really sad because I knew I would be lonely and because of that loneliness become hungry. Than the day of departure came. I was going to america to have a job and live the good life. First we went to the airport it was my first time in an airplane I felt sick every time I looked outside the window. When we arrived in America we got a lot of food we didn't stop eating it was different from our food, I had to kind of get used to it but it was nice all the food. Than the lady that picked us up from the airport showed us our house and it was super big compared to the house we had in Sudan. After that day I got a job assigned it paid me 6 an hour that's not bad compared to other people. My job was to label the product with a sticker even though I don't know what it is for. Besides work there was Peter he was my best friend in America he was like family to me. Peter was neat clean just like he was in Kenya. I wanted to share a house with him and live with him he told me he wanted that too but than Peter moved to Kansas without saying a word. I was worried about him because he didn't call, send a letter or even leave a note he just left. I called him asked him where he was he told me he was in Kansas where everything is much better the schooling the people. I was a bit jealous and than I forgot about him. I tried getting a drivers license so I could drive my car around without making mistakes. I failed the test and drove away with a sad face because I really wanted to pass. Not much later I hit someone's car I drove through red without a drivers license. It cost me about $500 I couldn't miss that much money because I wouldn't be able to buy food for survival. Eventually I paid the bills and than the next money problem came, apparently I didn't pay my rent even though I am hundred percent sure I paid. I had to show at some woman's office and she believed that I paid and explained the process to me how to pay the rent. It was hard for me to keep up with the fast rate in America. Also one thing that really bothered me here was that the native black people in the country were lighter then me, I felt too black for this country like I don't belong here or something. It was hard and the black people here were all gangster and had guns were criminals. In Sudan this was different guys were really close friends they held hands hugged but in America that was gay and not cool if you would walk over the street hand in hand people would think you like men isn't that ridiculous.

What was weird was that we dinka people were told America was supposed to be some heaven kind of place but it turned out to be a lot different. It was horrible all the hard work and for what that was the question. What also was kind of weird was that we Africans had to forget where we came from and all the traditions and think like an American citizen. And when we did we found out that they barely had any traditions and feasts all they did was work and work to survive. And this was supposed to be some kind of heaven! Then I found out there is no heaven on Earth.

School of Athens

I would sketch myself into the position of the big seated figure. This figure is still enjoys to learn but he doesn't always like it that is what his pose says. I chose for the left side because music and Mahematics is what gets most of my interest. This figure is how i would see myself in school, liking it but sometimes having a hard time.
Artists normally reflect their enviroment into their paintings, that gives us an idea of how the lifestyle and education and many more things were in those days. These kind of paintings like The School Of Anthems are very detailed because even the smallest detail can have a meaning for example in the school of anthems

Love, the Engine of the World

Love surrounds us everywhere we go
She brings and joy with her
She will not rest till every single person on earth has the feeling of love and has the possibility to pass it on.

Does Paulo Coelho have a different idea about love?
Yes Paulo Coelho thinks love is something that gives people hope and warmth just like everyone else but he also thinks love is the factor that changes the world. He thinks this because every time someone falls in love this person's heart starts speaking to them and that might change their decisions at some point and maybe even change someone's decision that is so big the whole world changes. But only the people who chase their dreams disserve to fall in love. Almost all of the changes in decisions make the world a better place than it was before.

Paulo Coelho is basically trying to tell everyone around the world to chase their dreams or even dare to dream so they have a chance of falling in love and make the world a better place.

The Right Choise

I am the center of making my own decisions and those decisions that I make will either get me closer to revealing my destiny or further away from revealing my destiny. Most of the people won't even start their journey because they have fear for the reality, they don't want to be disappointed and that is what they expect at the end of the journey. The very first thing you do is to even dare to dream and believe in them. Than you will have to follow your heart. She will bring you closer but it won't be that easy because you will be tested by the wind, the dessert, the sea and even the sun to see if you're worth it.

Journey of miturity

Santiago is a young boy who thought he’d stay in Andalusia for the rest of his lifetime. One day he had a dream about Egypt, about a treasure. He got super exited and even asked an old lady to interpret his dream. She said to always go after your dreams even if you don’t make it you will always have a good adventure. The boy wanted to go to Egypt but had no idea how to. At that point an old man showed up, a king called Melchizedek. He gave him a little push in the right way by telling him how omens work and if you can’t read the omens use Urim and Thummim. On his journey he will be tested by the dessert to know if he is worth helping. On this journey the boy will need some skills to complete his journey. Three of them would be cool-headed, fearless and tireless.

Santiago is a calm person. It has helped him many times on his journey. It helped him when he was at the enemy camp, just passing through until the camp told them to stop and asked what they were doing here than the real alchemist said that the boy was an alchemist and that he was able to change himself into wind. The chief doubted that and gave them three days to prepare. If they show up with nothing they will be executed. At first the boy freaked out about this than the alchemist said he believed in him. After two days the boy got it together, he calmed down and finally climbed up the cliff and started meditating.

Santiago is fearless of anything even death if he has to die so be it. Prove that he is fearless is the one time when he got tested by the alchemist. The alchemist pulled out his sword and told him to bend over and the boy simply did what he was told to do. He didn’t run away or tried to talk his way out of it, he just did what the alchemist told him to do bend over. Because of showing no fear the alchemist spared his life and even invited him to his tent. Lesson never show your fear it can cost you your life.

Santiago must have a lot of energy and a good stamina if he didn’t he probably wasn’t able to continue his journey every day. Standing up and immediately go on with your journey must be pretty tiring. Walking all day long barely any breaks. It’s the idea of getting closer that drives him, the factor that makes him tireless. Same as with the crystal merchant only than a bit different. The crystal merchant’s dream is the engine that keeps him running his business, the boy’s thought of getting closer is the engine that keeps him going with barely any breaks.

Santiago’s journey was really exiting. After all the young man changed a lot. He would not have been able to live this adventure without the three traits, Tireless fearless cool-headedness. The on and on and on going journey all the tests he had to go through and how he always stayed calm. The big idea about this book is to teach people to never give up stay calm in dangerous conditions and never fear anything. But there is one more thing believe in your dreams. Sometimes when someone has a dream and then after a while that person has déjà vu. Who knows when you have a dream about a treasure it might actually be true but you will have to believe in the dream otherwise you will never be truly happy. Dare to dream and see what kind of things happen to you.

I picked a book called kruistocht in spijkerbroek (Crusade In Jeans) it is a Dutch book written by Thea Beckman. The book is about a boy called Dolf Wega he lives in Amstelveen a small place in Holland. The story begins with Dolf meeting two inventers that made a time machine Dolf was very impressed. The time machine has only been tested with animals and objects. Dolf asked them if the machine also sends humans. The doctors said that it was possible but that it was very dangerous. Then Dolf asked if they could send him. He wanted to go because of an event that played in the middle ages. This event is a knight tournament that plays in France in 1212 on the 4th of June. The doctors first said no but then the story Dolf told them what could happen if they send him they enthusiastic. The doctors thought again and said it be ok if he followed their rules. Dolf was already ready to go. The doctors tried to send him to France. Instead the doctors send him by accident to Germany to a children crusade. Dolf felt really bad for the poor kids they were hungry exhausted and sick. He decided to join the crusade so he could help the poor children. He came up with techniques to get food more quickly and in bigger amounts. He organized the whole crusade about 4 thousand children. The reason why the alchemist reminds me of this book is because they both Santiago and Dolf help people they don't even know. For example Santiago helps the Crystal Merchant. The books kind of connect. But Kruistocht in spijkerbroek goes much deeper in helping the poor and protecting them.

The book tells you what you can accomplish as a person. I will never forget this book because it thought me a lot of great things that I am aware of now.
